Lent 2012 Challengeby ~uguardian

Every year, Christians give up something for Lent. This something is usually something that they feel is drawing them away from God and their faith, but some people give up things for other reasons.

I propose that this year, 2012, let's do the reverse. Instead of giving up stuff between Ash Wednesday and Easter, let's add something.

Many of us on DA are here because we have a gift in art, be it drawing, writing, photography or another form of art. Let's use that gift to glorify Him during this year's Lenten season!

My challenge to my fellow Deviants is to produce one religious piece of art per day. It doesn't need to be complex or fancy, just take the time to exercise the gifts you've been given. The only prize you'll get is a lot of practice, but it may benefit you in other ways by having you focus on Him more during this period.

Ash Wednesday falls on the 22nd of February -- this Wednesday -- so be prepared!
