Description
Bit of a small story behind this one.
Like many kids, I had a slew of toys to play with growing up. The toys that stand out the most in my memories however aren't the big $40 toys like the Power Rangers Megazords or other fancy toys that everyone recognizes. Those are still there of course -- they are just dwarfed by the memories of other toys. Namely, the oddball toys from cereals or the drug store or perhaps the circus. The off-brand stuff that commercials tell us is inferior to whatever they are pushing.
Or in this case, a toy I made from school supplies.
Made from a green eraser and a little help from a blue pen, this little "spaceship" ended up being a frequently used toy, flying about in imaginary outer space adventures.
So here's a little tribute to what does create memories, not the mammon-inspired nuttery that's going on today (Black Friday) in stores.

It turns out I still have it! I've kept many of my old toys, and it was in one of the boxes!
