I stumbled upon a "Christian" facebook page today which is all about "defending" the Bible and traditional beliefs. What I found was a lot of articles about homosexuality, about Biblical inerrancy and against historical-critical exegesis, and very one-sided discussion in the comments. Just a few years ago, when I began my studies in theology (at a "liberal" university), that kind of page would have seemed a "refuge" to me. The kinds of people quoted there were teachers others used to recommend to me as a "counter-balance" against the historical-critical stuff I was learning.
